Do you know any website for good book publishing agents ?

Hiya,

I am looking a book publishing agent. You know the person that’s find a publisher and everything for you. Except I don’t know any good websites and can’t find anything on google.

Answers and websites much appericated

Thanks in advance =)

Oh, you’ll find lots of them through search engines if you search for the popular keywords regarding the industry. Except, most of them will be scam artists, vanity presses, and unscrupulous agents that charge you a fee and don’t put much effort into trying to sell your work, because why should they when you’ve already paid them.

http://www.agentquery.com and http://www.aaronline.org both have a list of reputable agents.

You can also check on agents at http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums in their Beware and Background Check forum.

Where is Tim O’Reilly’s blog post about the cost of book publishing, especially the cost of physical printing?

I read in a forum that Tim O’Reilly wrote a blog post about publishing books, particularly where he explained that the actual cost of printing a book is a relatively small percentage of the overall cost (paying for editors, proofers, typesetters, jacket art, etc.). Where the heck is this blog post?

Is this it?

What is a good web site to start Blogging and they actually get read?

I’m a newbie… I want to start blogging about different things.

What is a good website so I can start?

Blogspot is great, but it doesn’t allow search engines to index it…. so nobody will actually read what you have to say.

If you want folks to read your blog, you can use either wordpress.com or tumblr.com. Or, if you have some cash, you can buy a domain and set up your own blog but you’ll need a bit of technical experience to go that route.

What is a good title for a blogging site?

I want to start my own blogging website but I can’t think of a title for it.
I am into a mixture of things like Dragonball Z, Inuyasha, Maria Mena’s music, Kelley Armstrong’s books so I hope this info helps you guys pick me a title.

I have a blog and trust me, I know what you’re going through. Try something that really relates to you, will be easy for others to find, and is unique. I’m not really sure what you’re into, but just combine some words until it’s a cool title. Good luck!

The Wellington Collaboratorium

Image by The Bottomless Paddling Pool
Just got the photos from Gregory Sholette’s show The Wellington Collaboratorium held at the Enjoy Public Art Gallery here in Welly during June 2010.

Part of the show was An Imaginary Archive, and artists, zinesters, writers, etc were asked to submit any self-published work of fictional histories they have worked on.

Two zines of my fitted the bill, so they were featured. I wont say which ones cause I don’t want to give away the false stories in them, but perhaps if you know my zines and have a sharp eye you can pic them out of these photos…
