How do you get people to visit your blog and good blogging sites?

Want to make people visit a blog and don’t know how. Also can you give me a good blogging site that people visit a lot. Do they visit your blog within the blog site or externally?? Thanks.

Most of the time people find your blog from search engines like yahoo, google, bing etc. You have to optimize your blog with meta tags and they are read from search engines spiders. Its called SEO and you can read more about it online. You can also post your blog on facebook and twitter and other sites like this and you will get some visitors too 🙂
Hope this helps!
Good Luck

The Future of Publishing – created by DK (UK)

This video was prepared by the UK branch of Dorling Kindersley Books and produced by Khaki Films (http://www.thekhakigroup.com/). Originally meant solely for a DK sales conference, the video was such a hit internally that it is now being shared externally. We hope you enjoy it (and make sure you watch it up to at least the halfway point, there’s a surprise!).

The clip was inspired by a video created by an Argentinean agency, Savaglio/TBWA entitled, “Truth”: http://bit.ly/truthvideo

Good Morning NOLA! . Jazz Fest 2011 is in full swing. Our  high will be in the eighties today.  Our rain chance is about 20 percent today. It never hurts to keep the umbrella handy just in case, but I don’t think you will need it.  It is partly cloudy and a little breezy today with winds about 20 miles per hour..  There is still lots going on in the city as usual.  Jazz Fest is here and the line-up looks awesome as usual. Don’t miss out. I hope you are making your weekend plans and it includes music.  The weather should cooperate so get out and enjoy.  We have a great week of weather ahead. We may have some scattered showers over the week ahead but all in all looks great. I will  be at the 1850’s House Store sigining books in a couple of weeks. I will let you know exact dates as I get them. So make plans to come out a get your personalized copies of “I Love You Bigger Than The Sky!” and “IF I Were A French Quarter Rat”.  Whatever you decide to do today, enjoy! See y’all in NOLA!

Good Morning NOLA!  It’s Saturday morning and the second day of French Quarter Fest.  My favorite time to be in the Quarter. It will be cloudythis morning but will warm up as the day goes on.The high will be in the upper eighties today.  It will be a little breezy which is always welcome when the humidity is seventy percent.  No chance of the wet stuff until possibly next Monday.  The forecast shows no rain. There will be some clouds but the sun should stay with us through weekend. There will be lots going on as usual.  French Quarter Fest is this weekend so lots of fun stuff going on in the Quarter.  Music, Food, people, what’s not to like. It is the largest free music festival in Louisiana.  All this in a thirteen block area! Grab your friends and family and get down there.   I will  be at the 1850’s House Store this Sunday sigining books. So make plans to come out a get your personalized copies of “I Love You Bigger Than The Sky!” and “IF I Were A French Quarter Rat”.  Whatever you decide to do today, enjoy! See y’all in NOLA!

Beyond Customary Ebook Publishing

Single purpose ebooks are a thing of the past, and here is why.

What’s happened to the venerable ebook?  Has it taken it’s place among other antiquated technologies of the Internet like modems and CRT monitors?  Is it a long forgotten technology?

The fact remains that writing an ebook and self publishing it on the Internet has become easier and easier. There are literally thousands of PLR (Private Label Rights) ebooks for the taking so that you don’t even have to be concerned about actually writing an ebook. Ebook software is easily accessible and a lot less expensive, and if you don’t like to write or don’t feel that you have the talent (Just about anyone can write an eBook) you can have a freelance writer do it for you, if you can afford to job it out.

That being said, why even take the time and trouble to write and publish an ebook?  There is most definitely a place for single purpose eBooks on the market today. I would categorize them as highly defined and technical information based ebooks. That is they discuss in great detail how to manage a specific task or function. A good example would be how to utilize RSS feeds on your website, and how they can become a silent marketing tool for your products or services.

Segmented marketing strategies such as technically based ebooks present a different challenge to the Internet Marketer as they require specific knowledge of a given subject to write.  So how can the average person make money with an ebook?

A good example would be to create a free give-away ebook that discusses the merits of other products that you may be selling. This is done quite often and has increased sales and conversion rates for products and services. Within the ebook you discuss the rational for the use of your product or service and create active links to your sales page.

Another method of non-traditional ebook publishing is the “branded” or viral ebook. This is when you create a similar ebook to the above example but allow your affiliates to brand it as their own ebook and distribute it to their customers. The ebook can be branded so that the sales links can be personalized for each affiliate.

Viral ebooks have been around for sometime and the software to create them is well within reach of the average Internet marketer. For example the Adobe PDF format is the worldwide standard for creating an ebook. There is no question that Adobe Acrobat® is the premiere tool for creating pdf ebooks, however there are alternatives that are less expensive that will create and convert to the pdf format. Viral PDF ebooks are very attractive because they provide an unusual way to distribute an information or software product, that is easy and inexpensive to produce.

The process is simple. Let’s say that you have a great widget making software program. You decide to write an ebook that explains all of the benefits of widgets and how they will change the world as we know it. Instead of selling this ebook you give it away with free software that creates proprietary links for anyone who joins your affiliate program. (A simple membership to either PayDotCom or Clickbank starts your first affiliate program for very little work or investment on your part) This means that your affiliates can now offer an ebook that is branded with their name and their affiliate links to anyone that they choose to send it to. This means that whenever someone purchases through those links you get a sale and the affiliate gets a commission. A win-win situation.

With the above suggestions you can easily see how an ebook still furnishes you with a marketing tool to promote your business, product or resource.

Hello. I was wondering what is a good self publishing company that is not a scam and is RELIABLE? I’ve heard rumors about scam companies and would like some suggestions and insights from self published authors and your experiences. I am preferring a company that also includes good marketing and cover design options. Thank you for your help! (Im a 19 year old male in college BTW, interested in creative writing since forever. thanks!)

Do you know any website for good book publishing agents ?

Hiya,

I am looking a book publishing agent. You know the person that’s find a publisher and everything for you. Except I don’t know any good websites and can’t find anything on google.

Answers and websites much appericated

Thanks in advance =)

Oh, you’ll find lots of them through search engines if you search for the popular keywords regarding the industry. Except, most of them will be scam artists, vanity presses, and unscrupulous agents that charge you a fee and don’t put much effort into trying to sell your work, because why should they when you’ve already paid them.

http://www.agentquery.com and http://www.aaronline.org both have a list of reputable agents.

You can also check on agents at http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums in their Beware and Background Check forum.
