Are there self Publishing Companies in Michigan?

I am trying to find a Self Publishing company near where I live. I have had no luck thusfar. Can anyone help me?

I am working on a book and I want to find a publisher.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no self-publishing companies in Michigan, certainly not any well-known ones. But in any event, you should be aware of the fact that most self-publishing companies are little more than scams. Most of them will charge you as much as several thousand dollars which you will very likely never get back from the book sales generated.

I would highly recommend a company such as LuLu. Amazon’s CreateSpace would be my second choice, but they do charge a little more. No other self-publishing companies do as much for so little. Your total cost with LuLu would be just over $125 ($99 setup fee + a proofing copy), and just over $400 with Amazon, provided that you can do most of the creative work yourself, such as cover design, editing, formatting, proof-reading, etc.

Both of the above companies will have your book listed for sale in most if not all major online book marketplaces, such a Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, eBay, etc. as well as off-line in such places as Ingram. And in addition to print copy offerings (paperback or hardcover), both companies offer eBook versions in either PDF or Kindle formats if you so desire.
